CB-RJ45-RB is a set of rubber boots for CAT5e and CAT6 modular plugs.
Overview
They take the strain off the cable behind the plug, which is where a lead usually fails, and they shield the latch so it cannot snap off in a crowded patch panel. Five colours are supplied, so runs can be told apart at a glance — cameras on one colour, doors on another — without labelling every lead. The flexible rubber slides over a crimped plug without interfering with its operation.
