The L-IDG-600 is an electromagnetic lock holding up to 600 lbs (272 kg), drawing 0.48A at DC 12V.
Overview
A magnetic lock has no moving parts to jam or wear, and it releases the instant power is cut, which is what makes it the usual choice on a fire escape route. The magnet measures 250 × 48 × 26 mm against a 180 × 38 × 11 mm armature, in brushed anodised aluminium with an adjustable bracket and no residual magnetism.
